Octopus Flexible Gas Rates

The Octopus Flexible Gas tariff is a variable tariff with prices that change infrequently. It is considered variable because unlike a Fixed tariff it changes in line with wholesale gas prices, typically changing every 3 months. This rate is used as the reference rate when comparing to a tracker rate, as it is default alternative when no fixed gas tariff is selected.

Since the start of the War in Ukraine and energy crisis that followed this rate has followed the Ofgem's energy price cap.

The current daily standing charge for gas is 29.6p.
