Octopus Flexible Prices
The Octopus Flexible tariff is a "variable" tariff with fixed unit prices that don't change by time of day. It is considered variable because unlike a Fixed tariff it changes in line with wholesale energy prices, typically changing every 3 months. This rate is used as the reference rate for comparing the various time of use tariffs, as it is the default alternative when no time of use tariff is selected.
Since the start of the War in Ukraine and energy crisis that followed this rate has followed the Ofgem's energy price cap.
The current daily standing charge is 58.9p for electricity and 29.6p for gas.
