Octopus Intelligent Go

Intelligent Go is a tariff available to Octopus customers who own an electric vehicle and a compatible home charger. It offers hugely discounted energy between 23:30 and 05:30, which can be used to cheaply charge an electric vehicle. The intelligent part is that Octopus chooses the cheapest and greenest periods of time to charge your vehicle, which can even be outside of these hours. Don't worry, you'll always be charged at the reduced rate if this happens.

Note that all energy consumed during these periods is priced at the reduced rate, not just the energy used for charging a car. This makes it an excellent time to run appliances like washing machines, tumble dryers or dishwashers which will also benefit from the cheaper electricity.
