Switching energy suppliers is a straightforward process, with the vast majority of the administrative burden taken on by your new supplier.
Your new supplier will contact your current supplier and arrange a switch-over date, typically a few days after you request a switch. On the switch-over date you must send a final meter reading to your new supplier, who will use it as the starting point for your new energy account. This information is automatically sent to your current supplier and used to generate your final bill, which will typically arrive a few weeks after your switch.
